Introduce your little ones to the importance of acceptance and how everyone deserves to belong!
In the deep, dark forest, there exists a community of cats. And, within that community, there sits Luna, a black cat ostracized by the others due to superstitious beliefs. Aided by her trusty companion, Toad, Luna goes on a mission to not only find her forever home, but also her power, realizing along the way that black cats are magic.
Written and illustrated by the ever-so-lovely Heidi Moreno, a cat enthusiast herself, this hardcover book focuses on the importance of acceptance and how crucial it is to always welcome others and offer a sense of belonging.
Parents will adore this fall-festive bilingual English-Spanish hardcover due to how it tackles superstitious beliefs and proves them wrong, but also in how it teaches the greater lesson that everyone, no matter the color of their fur, is capable of being loved and deserves to belong and take up space.

"Breathtaking colors illuminate every spread, from the autumnal oranges and browns in the cat forest to the brilliant colorful world with friendly calaca-inspired characters who befriend Luna and Toad. The text, included in both English and Spanish, beautifully introduces Luna's world to readers, conveying the cat's feelings of sadness and ultimately happiness as she finds where she belongs. A beautiful addition to picture book collections for children, and a wonderful way to introduce the misconceptions and beauty of black cats to the youngest readers."--Selenia Paz "School Library Journal"
